I build my own string art using these sequences, and the results look just like the render (lighting dependent). It runs a python algorithm that I've carefully designed and optimised over many months, using my finished string art as reference to ensure simulated art matches reality. This generator requires only the inputs that actually matter. For instance we don't need to specify line strength or line width, since the generator is correlated to a specific thread type (0.1mm nylon monofilament*). We also don't need to specify number of lines, since it stops at the optimal amount. Image is internally resized to a resolution that gives best results without slowing down the generator.

I've spent a lot of time tuning settings and optimising the code to get the best image -> string conversion. Hopefully using this tool saves you some time and effort compared to other online generators (which I never find that useful).

* If you use a different thread to 0.1mm nylon monofilament, consider switching to this. Your string art will have a better final look.
